AirMagnet supports two categories of wireless adapters
Preferred adapters: Adapters that have been comprehensively tested by AirMagnet and are recommended for use with the AirMagnet products.
Limited-support adapters: Adapters that have been known to work with the product, but AirMagnet does not perform extensive testing on these adapters. AirMagnet recommends the use of adapters that have been tested and certified as mentioned in category 1.
Note: Authentications supported by various adapters could be limited by their own capabilities, Windows wireless zero configurations and various other reasons. Click on "More details" for each adapter to get detailed information on the supported features and authentications.

The AirMagnet Directional Antenna will enhance the RF detection and capabilities of the AirMagnet Analyzers in a single direction helping narrow down the search pattern far more effectively. It is small, light and portable.
Users need to attach the Velcro base (supplied with the directional antenna package) to the laptop and connect it to the AirMagnet card and start analyzing the wireless environment in the specific area.
There are a few options that are known to work here. However AirMagnet does not certify any of them. One of them is the DuelAdapter™ converter. that converts input from PCMCIA cards to an Express Card compatible format. AirMagnet users can continue using AirMagnet products on laptops that only include the Express Card slots. Also laptops with both slot formats (Express Card and PCMCIA) and no internal Wi-Fi cards, can use this adapter for AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer integration with AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer PRO and AirMagnet Survey PRO. The AirMagnet Directional Antenna will enhance the RF detection and capabilities of the AirMagnet Analyzers in a single direction helping narrow down the search pattern far more effectively. It is small, light and portable.
Users need to attach the Velcro base (supplied with the directional antenna package) to the laptop and connect it to the AirMagnet card and start analyzing the wireless environment in the specific area.
There are a few options that are known to work here. However AirMagnet does not certify any of them. One of them is the DuelAdapter™ converter. that converts input from PCMCIA cards to an Express Card compatible format. AirMagnet users can continue using AirMagnet products on laptops that only include the Express Card slots. Also laptops with both slot formats (Express Card and PCMCIA) and no internal Wi-Fi cards, can use this adapter for AirMagnet Spectrum Analyzer integration with AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer PRO and AirMagnet Survey PRO. Limited-support adapters: Adapters that have been known to work with the product, but AirMagnet does not perform extensive testing on these adapters. AirMagnet recommends the use of adapters that have been tested and certified as mentioned in category 1.

RF Spectrum Analysis
(mandatory adapter required to run AirMedic USB)
AirMagnet Spectrum Adapter (USB form-factor). The Spectrum USB adapter has an internal antenna as well as a MMCX connector to connect the external omni-directional antenna included in the AirMedic USB package or the optionally purchased external directional antenna.
Additional Wi-Fi Analysis
AirMedic USB offers additional Wi-Fi analysis features using any Wi-Fi adapter connected to/built-into your computer, in addition to the spectrum features supported by the AirMagnet Spectrum USB adapter. This does NOT remove the requirement for an AirMagnet Spectrum USB adapter, without which the AirMedic USB software will not work.
Important note:
1.Any Wi-Fi adapter supported with Windows OS and MacBook Pro running Boot Camp®.
2.Only USB adapters supported with MacBook Pro running Parallels Desktop® or VMware Fusion®.
